At Level Up Management, we believe that every business story carries lessons about resilience, creativity, and the courage to do things differently. This month, we’re highlighting Nedra Rezinas, a Portland-based marketing coach and consultant who helps entrepreneurs find authentic ways to market their work—without forcing themselves into strategies that don’t fit.
Nedra’s journey began over five years ago when she transitioned from running a web design studio to focusing on coaching and consulting. While building websites, she noticed clients often needed something deeper. They weren’t just looking for an online presence—they were looking for clarity, direction, and confidence in how to share their message. That realization sparked a new path, one rooted in helping people align marketing with who they truly are.

As her business grew, a clear pattern emerged. The people drawn to Nedra’s coaching were often introverts, empaths, and values-driven leaders who felt out of place in traditional, high-pressure marketing spaces. With her background and lived experience, she created a safe, supportive environment where clients could explore alternatives—finding approaches that matched their strengths instead of burning them out.
Like many entrepreneurs, Nedra has faced challenges along the way. She’s had to refine her message, overcome the tendency to underprice her services, and resist advice that didn’t align with her values. But through it all, she’s stayed committed to her lane: coaching, teaching, and facilitating. Those are the areas where her skills shine and where her clients thrive.
What keeps her going is twofold: the flexibility her business provides as a mom and the joy of witnessing client breakthroughs. For her, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client realize they don’t have to follow the crowd—that they can create a path that truly fits who they are.
Community has also played a big role in her success. From weekly accountability calls with fellow business owners to launching and creating a women’s networking groups, Lumina Women Business Collective , Nedra has built spaces where collaboration and encouragement replace competition. That spirit of support is one of the things that makes Portland’s entrepreneurial scene wonderfully unique—and a perfect match for her approach.
Today, Nedra’s long-term vision isn’t about endless scaling. Instead, it’s about balance: maintaining a steady roster of coaching clients and teaching one or two college classes each term. She currently teaches as an adjunct at Portland State University and Lewis & Clark College. That combination gives her the fulfillment, sustainability, and lifestyle she values most, while also leaving room for future opportunities such as career coaching at the university level.
Nedra’s story is a reminder that success doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. It can be built on authenticity, fueled by community, and measured by impact rather than size.
“You don’t have to do marketing the way everyone else says. You can choose a path that fits.” – Nedra Rezinas
